2 years agoOakland Athletics catcher and first baseman Christian Bethancourt is on the bench for Wednesday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays and right-handed starter Jose Berrios. Bethancourt, who has been seeing more starts at first base as of late, is hitting .248 with a .299 on-base percentage, four home runs, and four stolen bases in 178 plate appearances this year. Oakland will instead go with Seth Brown at first base. Brown, who is also hitting third against Berrios and the Blue Jays, could be worth a look as a streaming option for fantasy managers in deeper leagues. So far this season the 29-year-old is batting .217 with a .278 on-base percentage, 10 home runs, and seven stolen bases in 266 plate appearances.--Ben Rosener - RotoBaller
