4 years agoCarolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey (ankle) will likely be out until Week 8. ESPN's David Newton reports that the All-Pro running back wasn't activated off of injured reserve this week and that he's unlikely to play in Week 7 against the New Orleans Saints. Week 6 will be McCaffrey's fourth game missed- this would put him right in his original timeline of 4-6 weeks if he suits up against Atlanta in Week 8. Mike Davis will be a locked-and-loaded RB1 for as long as McCaffrey is out.--Tim Capurso
