Christian McCaffrey Stakes Claim As Bell-Cow Running Back

6 years agoCarolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey started the preason looking as though he would split the majority of the carries with C.J. Anderson. During the preseason games, it has become clear that he is the lead back, taking the vast majority of the snaps with the starters. That trend continued in Week 3, with McCaffrey having double the number of rushing attempts as anyone else in the game. McCaffrey was not able to score a touchdown this week, but he was able to tally 48 yards on the ground and adding a further 16 in the air. McCaffrey's ADP has risen over the course of preseason as it has become evident that he is going to take the majority of the work in this backfield, and should offer decent fantasy value- especially in PPR formats.--Richard King - RotoBaller
