3 years agoBoston Red Sox catcher Christian Vazquez had a 127 at-bat homerless streak before going deep in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the New York Yankees. Vazquez went 2-for-3 in the game with his fifth home run of the year. Vazquez has endured a dismal season by his standards, with a .650 OPS in 352 at-bats. He's ceded playing time to Kevin Plawecki, making him hard to justify rostering in fantasy leagues of any size. The only positive in his stat line is the eight stolen bases, but his last of those came on June 29. There are better options out there.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
