7 years agoSan Diego Padres third baseman Christian Villanueva (rest) will sit on Monday against the Washington Nationals. Chase Headley will take over at third base. This is a routine rest day for Villanueva, who in his last seven games has batted 2-for-29 for a .069 batting average and went hitless returning to his native country of Mexico over the weekend. Expect Villanueva to be first in line to pinch hit for the pitcher and with the limited amount of games on Monday, keep him in your lineups.--Caden Inaba
