6 years agoArizona Diamondbacks first baseman Christian Walker swatted a three-run pinch-hit home run off of Los Angeles Dodgers reliever Joe Kelly in the seventh inning of Friday's 5-4 victory in 13 innings. That's two games and two homers for Walker. First baseman Jake Lamb made the start at first and was 1-for-5 with three strikeouts. Manager Torey Lovullo said that Lamb will not play third base to make room for Walker, at least in the short term, and that first base is not a platoon situation. Still, it's hard to imagine the Diamondbacks won't make room for Walker if he keeps hitting the ball well.--Daniel Dobish
