3 years agoMilwaukee Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich went 3-for-5 with two home runs, three runs scored and six RBI in Saturday's 9-6 win over the Nationals. For at least one day, Yelich rediscovered his MVP form, taking Paolo Espino deep in the first inning for a solo shot before launching a grand slam off Javy Guerra in the eighth inning. Yelich hadn't homered since July 18th and hadn't had a multi-homer game all season, and despite this huge performance, he's batting only .244 with eight home runs and 38 RBI through 81 contests. Hopefully this is a turning point for Yelich, who has been utterly disappointing so far this year.--James Stokke
