Christian Yelich Goes Hitless In Second Straight Game
3 years agoMilwaukee Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich continued to struggle at the plate on Sunday, going 0-for-4 with two strikeouts in a 3-1 loss to the White Sox. He's now gone 0-for-8 with five strikeouts over his last two games, and is slashing .193/.281/.281 with one home run, one steal, five RBI and five runs scored over his last 15 games. Clearly Yelich still hasn't figured out things at the plate, as he's now slashing .235/.382/.367 with six home runs, seven steals, 28 RBI and 44 runs scored over 67 games this season. Managers are stuck at this point having to hang on to Yelich and hope that he can turn things around in the second half, but if you can get a decent trade offer for him you may want to ship him off to another team.
