Christian Yelich Has Productive Night In Brewers Debut
7 years agoMilwaukee Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich looked good in his debut with the Brewers, going 1-for-4 with one RBI, one walk, and one strikeout. Yelich was acquired from the Marlins for Lewis Brinson, Isan Diaz, Monte Harrison, and Jordan Yamamoto and had a solid Spring Training showing with a .360 batting average and a 1.044 OPS. Yelich will look to improve from last year, in which he hit for a .282 batting average with 18 home runs and 81 RBI's compared to his 2016 season in which he hit .298 with 21 home runs and 98 RBI's. Add in the fact that Miller Park remains historically one of the best ballparks for home runs to left-handed batters and Yelich should be a no-brainer option to own in all formats.
