3 years agoMilwaukee Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich (COVID-19) will likely remain out until the weekend, according to Adam McCalvy of MLB.com. Yelich was placed on the injured list last week while experiencing mild symptoms, but he is expected to be able to return to the ballpark by Thursday when he is first eligible to come off the IL. McCalvy adds that the team wants to give Yelich a couple additional days to ease back into the lineup, so assuming he clears protocols on Thursday he likely won't return to the lineup until the weekend. Managers should keep an eye out for further updates on his condition, and hope that he'll have better results in the second half after slashing .235/.382/.367 over 67 games this year.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
