Christian Yelich Reaches Base Three Times In Victory
3 years agoMilwaukee Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich went 2-for-4 with a double, a walk and a run scored in Sunday's 6-2 win over the Twins. Yelich extended his hitting streak to eight games with his two-hit performance Sunday. He's actually recorded at least one base hit in 16 of his last 17 games and is slashing .359/.403/.547 with eight extra-base hits, 12 RBI, 12 runs scored, and a 6:12 BB: K over that span. The 29-year-old appears to have picked things up at the plate heading into September, as he's raised his batting average up nearly 30 points to .255 over the last few weeks. It's been a disappointing year for Yelich, but he appears to be heating up down the stretch and could be pivotal for the fantasy playoffs.
