4 years agoMilwaukee Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich got his 2021 season off to a good start in a 6-5 Opening Day win over Minnesota. Yelich went 2-for-4 with a pair of runs scored and an RBI single. Yelich hit the baseball hard all day, as each ball put in play registered an exit velocity of 90 MPH or better, topping out at 106.7 MPH on one of his singles, a good start to the year for the slugger. He'll get a Saturday matchup against Twins' right-hander Jose Berrios, who is reliant on his fastball, throwing it 58.6 percent of the time in his career. Despite not registering a hit in six career at-bats against Berrios, Yelich owns expected slugging percentages above .600 against fastballs in each of his last two full seasons, so it's certainly an intriguing matchup for him.--Tim Capurso
