Christian Yelich Smacks Two Doubles In Win
3 years agoMilwaukee Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and an RBI in Sunday's 2-1 win over The Pirates. Yelich extended his hitting streak to five games, going 7-for-20 (.350) in that stretch. The outfielder has suffered a brutal power slump lately, with his doubles Sunday accounting for his first extra-base hits since July 21st. He's slashing .236/.375/.360 with six home runs, 31 RBI, 49 runs scored, seven stolen bases, and 11 doubles through 307 plate appearances. To say he's been a disappointment is an understatement. Fortunately, the Brewers have had other players step up for Yelich and they remain in first place despite their key offensive player having a terrible season.
