3 years agoChristopher Bell was the third Joe Gibbs Racing driver in the 1-2-3 sweep on Saturday night at Richmond. He could not keep pace with his teammates but was able to stay in front of Chase Elliott. That gave him a spot on the podium and a third-place finish to boost his chances of advancing to the Round of 12. The Joe Gibbs car was the best car on the night as the Hendricks cars just could not keep pace. The final 51 laps literally saw the latter scrambling to stay on the lead lap. Even Bell himself was a half lap behind Martin Truex Jr. at the finish. It is safe to say that Christopher Bell looks to next week with renews optimism after Saturday night.--Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
