Chuba Hubbard Week 9 Outlook for Fantasy Football

2 years agoCarolina Panthers running back Chuba Hubbard could still have a fantasy-relevant role on Sunday against the Patriots. Christian McCaffrey (hamstring) seems like he could suit up, though the Panthers and fantasy managers have been hoping for that for about five weeks now, so it's no sure thing. Regardless, head coach Matt Rhule said that the team would be easing McCaffrey back in if he's active- meaning that Hubbard will have a role this Sunday. The rookie has been inefficient with his carries but has three games with five-plus targets and will take on a Patriots defense that has allowed the ninth-most fantasy points per game to running backs over the last four weeks. Hubbard could have flex value for fantasy managers in a bind.--Tim Capurso
