3 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Clarke Schmidt has been recalled and will take the mound against the New York Mets Sunday night. Infielder Andrew Velasquez was optioned to make room on the active roster. Schmidt has appeared in three games this season, including one start, and the top prospect has allowed five earned runs on seven hits and five walks in 6 1/3 innings. He's struck out seven batters. Fantasy managers in redraft leagues should surely avoid, but managers in dynasty and keeper formats should keep a close eye.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
