4 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers left-handed pitcher Clayton Kershaw has yet to toe a Major League mound in 2020 due to a back injury that has landed him on the injured list. But after throwing a bullpen session Tuesday, with another scheduled for Thursday, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts is optimistic in getting his ace back “sooner than later.” Right-handed rookie Dustin May has taken Kershaw’s spot in the rotation and looked strong in his first start against San Francisco, although how much longer he’ll have a spot among the starting staff remains to be seen. Kershaw, who finished with a 3.03 ERA last season, was an All-Star and finished eighth in Cy Young voting, figuring to be a massive addition to a rotation that is now without David Price (opt out) and Alex Wood (elbow).--Jesse Borek
