Clayton Kershaw Could Go On Rehab Assignment This Weekend
2 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw (pelvis) threw a bullpen session on Wednesday consisting of 30 to 35 pitches, and skipper Dave Roberts said there have been talks about Kershaw starting a minor league rehab assignment this weekend. The 34-year-old left-hander has been on the injured list since May 13 but has thrown two bullpens in the last three days as he ramps up his activity. He'll likely need multiple rehab appearances before he's given the green light to return to the Dodgers starting rotation, but fantasy managers should be getting excited about an early June return. Kershaw was dominant in five starts before his injury, posting a 1.80 ERA and 0.73 WHIP with 32 K's and only three walks in 30 innings.
