Clayton Kershaw K's A Baker's Dozen In Victory
3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw shined on Sunday night in his ninth victory of the season versus the Chicago Cubs. Kershaw fared much better this time versus the Cubs compared to his one-inning outing earlier this season. The veteran lasted eight innings and allowed four hits, one run, one walk and struck out a season-high 13 on the evening. Kershaw was on his game and his only blemish was a solo home run to Javier Baez in the top of the fourth inning. Kershaw has been having a very good season and more importantly is healthy. The lefty is now 9-7 with 3.25 ERA with a matchup against the Washington Nationals set for Saturday evening.
