2 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers skipper Dave Roberts said that left-hander Clayton Kershaw (back) will likely go on the injured list, but he's "optimistic in the sense that, it shouldn't be too long term of being down." Roberts said Kershaw had an X-ray on his back that "wasn't that telling," so he'll also have an MRI exam. The 34-year-old southpaw left his start against the San Francisco Giants early on Thursday with lower back pain, so fantasy managers should expect him to miss at least the next two weeks. The Dodgers have a double-digit lead over the San Diego Padres in the National League West, so there's really no reason for them to push Kershaw, especially considering his history with back issues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
