Clayton Kershaw Still Dealing With Soreness
3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw (forearm) is still dealing with soreness in his forearm. Kershaw had all his scans come back clean and the Dodgers feel good about the lefty playing catch in the near future with the hope that he will be back by the beginning of September. Kershaw was placed on the 10-day injured list on July 7 with left forearm inflammation, but recently threw a simulated game on July 31. The Dodgers are also without starting pitchers Tony Gonsolin (shoulder), Danny Duffy (forearm) and Trevor Bauer (administrative leave) and could really use Kershaw at the moment. The current Dodgers rotation consists of Julio Urias, Max Scherzer, Walker Buehler and David Price with the fifth turn in the rotation likely to be bullpen games for now. The club also signed free agent starting pitcher Cole Hamels earlier this week and he could enter the rotation later in the month.
