5 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw allowed three earned runs, seven hits and two walks with eight strikeouts over six innings in a victory against the Chicago Cubs on Thursday, running his record to 6-1. He threw 62 of his 93 pitches for strikes, including 20 first-pitch strikes to the 26 batters he faced in the quality start. That's sixth consecutive quality starts dating back to May 8, and 10 over his 11 outings this season. He'll look to keep up the good work Tuesday night against the visiting San Francisco Giants.--Daniel Dobish
