Clint Bowyer Comes Up Just Short At Texas
6 years agoStewart-Haas Racing's Clint Bowyer ended up a distant second at the O'Reilly Auto Parts 500 at Texas Motor Speedway on Sunday, 2.7 seconds off the lead behind Joe Gibbs Racing driver Denny Hamlin. He ended up posting three laps led at TMS, and he was the leading Ford just ahead of his teammate Daniel Suarez. He'll look to rebound next weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway. In 26 career starts at Thunder Valley, he has no wins but seven top-five finishes and 13 top-10 showings with 257 laps led and a 14.6 average-finish position.
