Clint Frazier and Tyler Wade Drawing Interest From Tigers
6 years agoThe New York Yankees have reportedly been keeping in contact with the Detroit Tigers for starting pitcher Michael Fulmer, and the price is not cheap. The former rookie of the year has four more years of club control and is Detroit's best trade chip at the moment. The Yankees have been in search of starting pitching since striking out on Gerrit Cole in the offseason and would be an okay fit for Fulmer. Yankee Stadium has not been kind to last year's deadline acquisition Sonny Gray. It is fair to wonder how Fulmer will fare with the short porch in right field and Gary Sanchez's awful pitch framing. Time will tell whether this deal gets done, and the biggest beneficiary might be Clint Frazier if he is included. Frazier is blockaded by a stacked Yankee outfield and should immediately see himself in the regular starting lineup in Detroit.
