Clyde Edwards-Helaire Back At Practice On Wednesday
3 years agoKansas City Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire (ankle) was designated to return from Injured Reserve on Wednesday and was seen at practice with his teammates. This shouldn't be treated as a guarantee that he plays this week, so keep an eye on practice reports over the next few days. However, CEH's return is welcome news for a Chiefs offense that has been struggling this season. With quarterback Patrick Mahomes often seeing six or seven pass defenders on over 90% of early down snaps, it's not out of the realm of possibility that the Chiefs try to establish the run a little bit more to open up the offense for the passing game. As a result, Darrel Williams should still be held in all leagues until we see how the Chiefs backfield snap share shakes out, but this looks like the end of Derrick Gore's fantasy relevance for 2021.
