Clyde Edwards-Helaire Improving In Pass Protection Skills
4 years agoKansas City Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire has developed a strong understanding of how to protect the quarterback as well as the importance of it, according to Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy in a report from Chiefs Wire. The 21-year-old is expected to take on a workhorse role as just a rookie because the other primary Chiefs RB, Damien Williams, has opted out of the 2020 season. While Edwards-Helaire has a large frame (5'7", 210 lbs) and can run the ball with strength and power, it's always great for players to continue expanding their skillset. The rookie will work alongside QB Patrick Mahomes and try to protect his Super-Bowl winning gunslinger effectively during the season. Edwards-Helaire can be considered a top-10 fantasy RB based on his expected role in a high-powered offense.
