Clyde Edwards-Helaire Seeks To Improve In Short Yardage
4 years agoKansas City Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire will look to build off a dominant debut in Week 1. Edwards-Helaire received 66.7% of the snaps given to the run game in Week 1. Darrel Williams is likely to operate as the third down back for now, but it appears to be the rookie’s job to lose. If there was one thing that Edwards-Helaire struggled with in his debut, it was short yardage gains as he was stuffed a whopping six times at the goal line. Offensive Coordinator Eric Bieniemy said that the rookie has got to do a better job in that situation and that the rookie knows he left some things on the field that could have helped the Chiefs. Managers should feel confident firing up the Chiefs first-round with a date against the Chargers Sunday afternoon.
