Clyde Edwards-Helaire Shines In NFL Debut
4 years agoKansas City Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire had a magnificent debut on Thursday night against the Houston Texans. The rookie running back had 25 rushes and put up 138 yards including a 19-yard touchdown. The rookie running back also was targeted twice in the passing game, but did not make a catch. Edwards-Helaire lived up to all the hype and he didn’t struggle much all other than getting stuffed six times at the goalline. The Chiefs offensive line looked great on Thursday and managers should be excited about Edwards-Helaire and what he can do in the Chiefs explosive offense. Backup running back Darrel Williams got most of the action on third downs and had 11 rushes and a pair of catches. Managers should worry about Williams as it seemed to be clear that it’s the rookies backfield for now. The rookie will look to keep things going against the Chargers next Sunday.
