4 years agoMiami Marlins rookie starting pitcher Cody Poteet was called up on Wednesday and will make the start against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Poteet will be making his major league debut. In a corresponding move, reliever Luis Madero was designated for assignment a day after being hung out to dry for a five-run inning. Poteet profiles as an innings-eater at best, and doesn't need to be added in any formats right now. This is most likely just a spot start, as Elieser Hernandez (biceps) is getting closer to returning.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
