4 years agoMiami Marlins rookie starting pitcher Cody Poteet (knee) is on his way back to the injured list due to a knee sprain. The move will be made retroactive to June 25, the last time Poteet appeared in a game. The rookie got off to an impressive start this season, but has struggled of late, pitching to a 4.99 ERA overall with a 5.05 xERA to confirm it. The hope is that his struggles have been due to his knee issues and that he will come back strong once he's recovered. A corresponding move has not been made yet, but Poteet's next start was scheduled for Wednesday.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
