4 years agoMiami Marlins rookie starting pitcher Cody Poteet had the worst outing of his career against the Boston Red Sox on Friday. Poteet pitched 4 1/3 rain-soaked innings, allowing five runs on four hits and two walks. He did strike out a career-high six batters, though. Poteet was seen clearly struggling with a blister on his throwing hand, something he had to deal with near the end of his previous start as well. It will be something to keep an eye on going forward, but for now Poteet is scheduled to take his next turn in the rotation against the Pittsburgh Pirates.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
