Cole Beasley A Cut Candidate?
3 years agoConsidering the different types of wide receivers available in free agency and the draft and that the Buffalo Bills are projected to be in the red in terms of salary cap space in 2022, general manager Brandon Beane could look to create cap space by releasing veteran wide receiver Cole Beasley this offseason. Beasley averaged 3.9 yards of target separation in 2021, which was the best in the NFL, per Next Gen Stats. However, his 82 catches only produced 693 yards and one touchdown after he had the same number of catches for 967 yards and four TDs in 2020. Beasley has a cap number of $7.6 million this year. The 32-year-old is one of quarterback Josh Allen's go-to guys to move the chains, but the Bills have too many mouths to feed for Beasley to be a consistent PPR weapon in fantasy if he returns to Buffalo.
