Cole Hamels Signs One-Year Deal With Dodgers
3 years agoThe Los Angeles Dodgers have agreed to a one-year deal with veteran lefty Cole Hamels. The deal is reportedly worth $1 million, which is decent for a deal through the rest of the regular season. The 37-year-old only had one outing for the Atlanta Braves in 2020. However, he pitched well during his time with the Chicago Cubs during the 2019 season. The Dodgers will see if there's anything left in the tank, so a low-risk type of situation here. Hamels is already at the Dodgers' spring training complex in Arizona. The hope is that he'll be able to join the rotation by the end of the month. Maybe, Hamels has something left in the tank, but fantasy managers shouldn't expect much value out of him.
