Cole Hamels Surrenders Three Runs In Season Debut
4 years agoAtlanta Braves starter Cole Hamels allowed three runs on three hits across 3 1/3 innings of work during Wednesday's 5-1 loss to the Baltimore Orioles. He struck out two batters while issuing a single walk. It was the first appearance of the season for Hamels, who missed over two months with shoulder and tricep issues. The veteran left-hander is valuable to the Braves considering how depleted their rotation is, but he does not offer much to fantasy managers. If anything, he may be a mid-tier streaming option in his next projected start against the Miami Marlins.
