5 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Cole Hamels (oblique) threw a bullpen session on Thursday and will pitch for the Triple-A Iowa Cubs on Sunday. It’s a step in the right direction for the lefty who owns a 2.98 ERA on the season. Hamels has been sidelined since late June with a left oblique strain and is hoping to return soon. The Cubs have used numerous pitchers in his absence. Hamels should be owned in all leagues when he is activated.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
