3 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Cole Irvin allowed two runs across seven strong innings to pick up his eighth win of the season Saturday versus the Rangers. Irvin got in trouble early as he allowed a single and a two-run homer to trail 2-0 only three batters into the game. That was all Texas could muster, however, as the left-hander dominated after that as the A's cruised to victory. Irvin pitches deep into games and provides strong ratios like his 3.45 ERA and 1.16 WHIP, which makes him a solid fantasy contributor despite not picking up many strikeouts.
