3 years agoOakland Athletics pitcher Cole Irvin (hip) exited Tuesday's 5-1 loss to the Seattle Mariners due to a hip issue. He allowed three runs on seven hits and two walks while failing to record a strikeout before exiting after 66 pitches. He was tagged with his 12th loss of the season. The severity of Irvin's injury is unknown at this time, and he's considered day-to-day. The southpaw owns a 3.68 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, and 97 strikeouts over 144 1/3 innings in 2021.
