4 years agoPittsburgh Pirates shortstop/outfielder Cole Tucker (hand) is back to hitting after having appeared in just one Grapefruit League game this spring, in which he went 0-for-3. Competition remains relatively open for the rebuilding Pirates with Tucker in the mix to earn at-bats both at short or in center field, where Anthony Alford stands out as his main competitor. A first-round Draft choice by Pittsburgh back in 2014, Tucker has yet to have sustained success at the plate at the big league level, slashing .215/.260/.324 in 93 games. At this stage, Tucker -- assuming that he's healthy come Opening Day -- is a roll of the dice DFS play when hitting atop the lineup due to the multiple players that will likely be shuffled in and out of the Pirates' starting nine as the season carries on.--Jesse Borek
