Colin Moran Goes Deep On Saturday
6 years agoPittsburgh Pirates third baseman Colin Moran went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in a loss against the St. Louis Cardinals on Saturday. Moran's blast got his team on the board in the fifth inning and was the only run his team managed against Cardinals starter Luke Weaver. It was the 25-year-old's fifth home run of the season, as he now boasts a solid .277/.354/.428 slash line in his first full big-league season. While not a top-tier fantasy option at third base, Moran is a solid backup in NL-only leagues. Jung-Ho Kang is on the verge of returning to the majors, but Moran has done enough to maintain regular playing time.
