4 years agoPittsburgh Pirates third baseman Colin Moran and shortstop Kevin Newman have been cleared to play Tuesday against the White Sox but neither is among the club’s starting nine. Erik Gonzalez holds down the shortstop spot, while JT Riddle gets the start at the hot corner, though neither present particularly appealing DFS options due to their matchup against White Sox ace Lucas Giolito. Moran has been the lone bright spot of the Pirates' offense thus far in 2020, having mashed to the tune of an .857 OPS through his first 23 games. Moran and Newman are available to pinch-hit, but their next chance to start comes Wednesday against Chicago left-hander Dallas Keuchel.--Jesse Borek
