Colin Moran Sets Tone With Second-Inning HR
6 years agoPittsburgh Pirates third baseman Colin Moran went 1-for-3 with a home run with two RBI in Thursday's 6-1 victory over Atlanta. Moran gave the Pirates an early 2-1 lead by depositing the third pitch that he saw in his first at-bat (second inning) over the right field wall for a two-run dinger. He has now homered in each of his last two games and has recorded at least one hit in each of the eight games he started. The 26-year-old switch-hitter has really been raking at the plate over his last 15 games, compiling a slash line of .365/.411/.673 with four home runs and 12 RBI in 52 at-bats.
