Collin Johnson Offers Fantasy Upside as Red-Zone Weapon
3 years agoJacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Collin Johnson has emerged as an under-the-radar weapon that could provide value for fantasy managers. Andy Staples of The Athletic identified Johnson as the Jaguars' biggest fantasy football sleeper, adding that he expects "the 6-foot-6 receiver from Texas to be a frequent red-zone target." He finished 2020 with just 18 catches for 272 yards and two touchdowns, but there is plenty of reason to be excited about the 23-year-old's upside. After all, the Jaguars went through a quarterback upgrade this offseason, which should lead to a more successful offensive attack. Meanwhile, look for new head coach Urban Meyer and his coaching regime to utilize depth players and exploit Johnson's talent this season. The former fifth-round pick is worth rostering in deeper leagues in case he breaks out in 2021.
