7 years agoHouston Astros pitcher Collin McHugh struck out the side in one inning of relief work Thursday against the Nationals. It was a positive outing for McHugh, who has struggled thus far in spring training. As of now, McHugh is the odd man out as a starter after several acquisitions have completely reshaped Houston's rotation. He missed most of last season with an elbow injury and now must pitch his way into a role on this team. McHugh has struggled all spring, and his one-inning outing lowered his ERA to 6.75. For a guy who won 19 games in 2015, the Astros will have to decide what to do with McHugh -- put him in the bullpen, send him to the minors to start or cut/trade him if he continues to struggle.--Joey C - RotoBaller
