Colts Defense Gets Kemoko Turay Back, Loses Sheldon Day
4 years agoIndianapolis Colts linebacker/defensive end Kemoko Turay (ankle) was activated off of Injured Reserve on Tuesday, paving the way for him to make his season debut Sunday against Green Bay. But in order to make room for him on the active roster, defensive tackle Sheldon Day was released. Turay has combined for 5.5 sacks over the past two years with Indianapolis and adds yet another pass-rushing specialist to an already stout Colts Defense. Day, who was utilized for fewer than 30 percent of the team's defensive snaps in all four of his games with the Colts, could be picked up by another organization to help stop the run. Indianapolis gets a tough draw in Week 11 by facing quarterback Aaron Rodgers and the Packers, but there's little reason to turn away from one of the league's premier units in season-long formats, especially with yet another pass-rusher activated.
