Colts Re-Sign Mo Alie-Cox To Three-Year Deal
3 years agoThe Indianapolis Colts re-signed tight end Mo Alie-Cox to a three-year, $18 million deal on Monday, according to a source. Alie-Cox has proven to be a very reliable blocker for the Colts and is useful as a pass-catcher in the red zone. In 17 games last year, he had 24 receptions for 316 yards and a career-high four touchdowns on 45 targets. The 28-year-old should have a bigger role alongside Kylen Granson now that Jack Doyle has retired, but the Colts are currently without a quarterback after trading Carson Wentz to the Washington Commanders last week. Depending on who the Colts have under center in 2022, Alie-Cox could be a much more attractive low-end TE1 weekly streamer for his red-zone prowess.
