4 years agoIndianapolis Colts running back Nyheim Hines was a big loser this offseason on the surface. The team drafted Wisconsin running back Jonathan Taylor in the second round, and with Marlon Mack still around, Hines was seemingly relegated to a third-string role. But the team actually expects Hines to get more usage now that Philip Rivers is the team's quarterback, as Rivers has been one of the NFL's best at getting back involved in the passing game, and Hines has the speed and footwork to be a good receiving back. Offensive coordinator Nick Sirianni suggests that Hines is in for a big year. Does that mean you should rush out to buy him in dynasty leagues and overdraft him in re-draft? No. He's still going to cede lots of snaps to Taylor and Mack, and while Hines has upside as a late round fantasy pick and the team is definitely saying all the right things, it's hard to see him getting too many more looks this year, and his expanded use in the pass game might come at the cost of his use in the running game.--Justin Carter - RotoBaller
