Colts Still Think T.Y. Hilton Can Play
3 years agoIndianapolis Colts general manager Chris Ballard texted with free-agent wide receiver T.Y. Hilton this week and thinks Hilton can still play. The Colts continue to monitor Hilton, who remains available on the open market after having his worst NFL season in 2021. He played in only 10 games due to injuries and finished with career-lows across the board in catches (23), targets (37), receiving yards (331) and touchdowns (three). The Colts have upgraded at quarterback with Matt Ryan after rolling with Carson Wentz last year, but even if Hilton were to return, he'd be battling for targets with Parris Campbell behind No. 1 wideout Michael Pittman Jr. The 32-year-old hasn't gone over 800 yards since 2018.
