Commanders Place Brian Robinson On Reserve List

2 years agoThe Washington Commanders are placing rookie running back Brian Robinson on the Reserve/Non-Football Injury list, sidelining him for at least the first four games. This update comes as no surprise after the report that he was shot twice as the victim of a robbery. The decision to place him on IR removes the possibility of him returning in the first four weeks but does not eliminate him from playing later in the year. The earliest he can return is Week 5, but it's difficult to assess whether that is a realistic scenario at this time. The Commanders will move forward with Antonio Gibson, J.D. McKissic, and Jonathan Williams as their backfield. Gibson is the favorite for the early-down role while McKissic projects to be their pass-catcher, both of which could be top-36 options depending on the success of this offense.--Josh Constantinou - RotoBaller
