3 years agoThe Washington Commanders issued a restricted free-agent tender to kicker Joey Slye worth $2.4 million on Wednesday, according to a source. Slye will be back with Washington in 2022 after spending last year with the Commanders, Houston Texans and San Francisco 49ers. In his six games in D.C., he made all 12 of his field-goal tries and missed just one of 10 extra-point attempts. In total, Slye went 23-for-25 on field goals and 18-for-22 on extra points in 12 games in 2021. The 25-year-old spent his first two years in the league kicking for the Carolina Panthers.
