3 years agoWashington Capitals center Connor McMichael will skate on the second line Thursday night against Detroit. The 20-year-old recently spent some time there with no success, but a run of two goals and one assist in three games seems to have conceived head coach Peter Laviolette to give the rookie another chance. Lars Eller is dropping down to the third line. McMichael has notched five points in total this season in 10 appearances with 20 shots.
